I created a video to see if anyone finds this more helpful than just the screenshots and text. Sorry for the terrible audio. It cuts out a lot when I’m in DOS for some reason.

Many many thanks for putting up this page. I was following your instructions over at https://techmattr.wordpress.com/2013/08/30/sas-hba-crossflashing-or-flashing-to-it-mode/ , however as I could only use the UEFI tools I was unable to get past the “Failed to Validate Mfg Page 2” error. The ZIP archive linked on this page has an earlier version of sas2flash.efi (P5 instead of P12) which permits bypassing a manufacturer mismatch, and I was able to successfully flash the LSI IT firmware over the Dell firmware. The archive linked on this page also contains many other versions of the firmware which is pretty handy when you want to flash just a specific one.
Could you also link to the same ZIP archive on your other tutorial page? I’m sure it would save a few others who are limited to using UEFI booting only from running in to the same issue!

Add my vote as well please! I ran into the same error and was able to resolve it on my own after doing some digging in other forums and downloading P5 from the vendor. Having come across this page back in February would have saved me hours!
